Lakehouse and Stationhouse Nurseries are really proud to have been able to remain open to support our key worker parents during this unprecedented time. Running this service from Stationhouse Nursery with a fantastically dedicated team enabled us to understand first hand how to provide a safe, calm, but fun space for our children. With enhanced cleaning, adaptations to drop off and pick up and weekly viral disinfections we have had no cases of Covid 19 and all of our staff and children remain healthy and happy.

Both Lakehouse and Stationhouse Nursery have started a phased reopening to all children. Starting with three to five year olds, children will be part of a ‘bubble family’ and as we are fortunate to have large outdoor spaces and various playrooms they will be able to play freely in small groups without the need for hazard tape and constant reminders. As the lockdown rules adapt so will we, enabling toddlers and then babies to return to our family. Almost 80% of our parents were happy and able for their children to return to nursery and we are so excited that our buildings have been brought to life again with the sound of laughter and chatter.

This situation has impacted us all and unfortunately some of our children are unable to return. We may have some spaces available from September and will update our vacancies as soon as we can to reflect the changes of our existing children’s schedules. Please call Jade our Nursery Leader on 01275 817143 if you are looking for a space from September 2020.

We really believe that when choosing a nursery for your precious little one, it is best to visit in person to view the environment, and observe staff and children’s interactions through your own eyes. However due to Coronavirus, we need to reduce the number of adults entering the nursery to ensure the safety of our team and the children in our care and therefore we are unable to book show arounds at this time. To help give you an idea of our approach and our environment, we are working on a virtual tour of nursery, which we will post very soon. We would encourage you to watch this video and then give us a call to talk things through. We now have our own YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOyxQroHthRBDIh0BVOKHIQ/videos and have been posting short films to support parents of children currently attending our nurseries. These films show you our spaces and our current drop off and pick up process as well as short clips about preparing children for returning to nursery and how to prepare your child for school during this time.

We also post regularly on our nursery Instagram pages @stationhousenursery4 and@lakehousenursery18 which will also give you a flavour of us.

We hope you and your family are safe and well and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind Regards

Zoe

Nursery Owner.
